PET packaging:
Innovations that you may not yet know about
If you already know everything about PET packaging, this article may not be for you. But what if there are aspects of PET that you don't yet know? In this article, we highlight some lesser-known benefits of modern PET packaging that are of particular interest to companies in the food, cosmetics and chemical-technical industries.
PET packaging:
More than just recyclable
PET (polyethylene terephthalate) is often praised for its high recyclability and low weight. But the really exciting developments in PET technology go beyond this. Did you know, for example, that modern PET packaging not only conserves resources, but can also significantly improve your carbon footprint? By optimising the weight of the packaging and using recycled PET (rPET), the environmental impact is further reduced without compromising on the quality of the packaging.
Why the future belongs to rPET
As a packaging manufacturer, we are increasingly focussing on rPET - i.e. recycled PET. This sustainable alternative to conventional PET enables us to develop packaging solutions that are both functional and save resources. But it's all about the right mix: We often recommend that our customers use 50% rPET instead of 100% recycled PET. Why? Because a balanced mix of virgin PET and rPET offers the optimum balance between sustainability, functionality and safety.
The future of PET packaging:
Sustainable and functional
The requirements for packaging are constantly increasing - both in terms of sustainability and legal requirements such as the upcoming changes due to the PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation). With PET packaging, we offer solutions that not only support your environmental goals, but also fulfil regulatory requirements.
If you are looking for a partner to support you in realising your sustainability goals and help you prepare for future regulatory changes, then you have come to the right place.
