PET - packaging solution with respect for the environment
High recycling rates
The Raw materials PET has one of the highest recycling rates of all plastics. The packaging we produce can be easily and safely returned to the recycling cycle via tried-and-tested take-back sources such as the yellow bag and the yellow garbage can or, in the case of deposit bottles, via the deposit system. This reduces waste and conserves our resources.
Low melting temperature
Compared to materials such as glass, PET packaging consumes less energy in the melting process. After all, PET melts at around 280° Celsius, whereas glass only melts at around 1,400° Celsius. Lower energy consumption reduces our CO2 footprint in the long term.
Weight optimization
By continuously reducing the weight of our PET bottles, we can reduce the amount of material used and at the same time offer you stable and reliable packaging solutions.
We can also optimise the weight of standard packaging individually for you after testing.

The future of the packaging industry
As a pioneer in the production of PET bottles, our vision is to shape the future of the packaging industry through innovative and sustainable packaging solutions.
Our long-term goal is to continuously reduce the electricity consumption of our production and to develop even more resource-efficient packaging solutions through constant research.
With our PET packaging, we protect your product, present it and put it centre stage with a customised design. Our packaging can help you achieve your own sustainability goals.

Your contact for pet packaging
Sustainability is not a trend, but a responsibility that we bear together. In my role as Sales Manager, I am on hand with help and advice when it comes to future-proofing your PET packaging.
Are you wondering which rPET content is right for you - 30%, 50% or even 100%? I recommend 50% and will be happy to explain why this is often the ideal compromise between sustainability and functionality.
I can also help you find the best solution for your requirements when it comes to choosing recyclable inks or optimizing packaging weight.
Perhaps you are also concerned with the new PPWR requirements? I can provide you with my expertise and support you in implementing them.
Let's work together on sustainable, future-oriented solutions.
Sandra Kössel, Sales Manager at EPROPLAST GmbH
Innovation through development
As an ISO 50001-certified company, we carefully maintain our energy management system and use monthly evaluations to continuously increase energy consumption and efficiency
In my work, it is particularly important to ensure that our production is always state of the art and energy efficient through continuous energy checks of our machines and regular preventive maintenance.
In the development of new Products we ensure that recyclability and resource conservation are at the forefront.

PET in the context of the PPWR Regulation
Recycling rates & PPWR
Climate targets of the PPWR
Compared to glass and other materials, PET has a lower carbon footprint, which contributes to achieving the climate targets of the PPWR regulation. The lower weight of PET packaging reduces emissions during both production and transport.
Save material & reduce weight
PET enables the production of lighter packaging, which reduces the amount of material used and thus meets the requirements of the regulation for resource efficiency and waste reduction. Advances in packaging technology are enabling ever thinner yet stable PET bottles.
100 % MOnomaterial
PET can be used as a mono-material, which simplifies the recycling process and increases the recycling rate, as required by the PPWR regulation. The use of mono-material and recyclable colors makes the sorting and recycling of PET easier and more efficient.
Future-proof and adaptable
The properties of PET and the ongoing development in recycling technology position PET as a material that can also fulfill future requirements of the PPWR regulation.
We are also continuously investing in improving our plastic packaging in order to meet future targets in terms of sustainability and regulatory requirements.
PET packaging
for food, cosmetics and chemical-technical applications
PET packagingen in the food sector
Hygiene and quality:
PET is food-safe and offers excellent barrier properties. It reliably protects food from external influences such as oxygen and moisture, thus ensuring safe storage.
Freshness and shelf life:
Thanks to its high impermeability to oxygen and moisture, PET helps to extend the freshness and shelf life of food. The material preserves the flavour and quality of the products over a longer period of time.
Transparency:
The clear, brilliant appearance of PET makes it easy for consumers to recognise the contents of the packaging. This allows them to directly judge the freshness and quality of the food.
PET for cosmetics packaging
Aesthetics and design:
PET is characterised by its clear brilliance and high-quality appearance. These properties make it ideal for cosmetic products that require an appealing and elegant presentation. Whether transparent bottles or coloured designs - PET visually sets the scene for your products.
Protection and security:
The sensitive ingredients in cosmetic products, such as UV-sensitive formulations, are optimally protected by PET. The material acts as a barrier against UV radiation and prevents contamination, ensuring that the quality of the products is maintained throughout their entire life cycle.
Flexibility:
PET is a flexible material that can be moulded into almost any shape and size. This versatility makes it possible to develop customised packaging solutions that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing - regardless of the product.
PET solution for chemical-technical applications
Chemical resistance:
PET is resistant to a wide range of chemicals, making it the ideal choice for packaging cleaning agents and other chemical products. It offers reliable protection, even with aggressive substances, and contributes to safe storage and handling.
Stability and security:
The robust structure of PET ensures stability and safety, even under demanding conditions. Whether for industrial or household use, PET packaging retains its shape and protects the contents from external influences.
Environmental friendliness:
Despite its high resistance to chemicals, PET is fully recyclable. If disposed of correctly, it can be returned to the production cycle and thus helps to reduce packaging waste. PET offers a balance between functionality and resource conservation.
